I heard a young harry potter fan rationalizing jk’s excommunication from her own creation, by saying she thinks she’s a gryffyndor but thashe’s really a slytherin. I asked why. She replied because she’s ambitious. I said being successful by sheer brilliance isn’t the same as being driven by naked ambition and standing up against a mob for what you believe in is in fact more brave than going along with the mob. There was no reply.
